Editorial Policy and Sources
Our guides are written to help readers understand physical precious metals, not to pressure anyone into a purchase.
Sources
We cite primary and reputable sources: IRS publications and the Internal Revenue Code, the Federal Reserve and Federal Reserve History, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. Geological Survey, the World Gold Council, the LBMA, government mints, the FDIC, the CFTC and the FTC. Each guide lists its sources at the end.
Accuracy standards
- We don't publish testimonials, invented ratings or claims of personal experience.
- Company fee information for Goldco is reproduced exactly as Goldco publishes it.
- We avoid predictions. Precious metals prices may rise or fall, and past behavior does not indicate future results.
- Figures that change every year, such as contribution limits, are linked to the official source rather than restated.
Not advice
Our content is general education. It is not financial, legal or tax advice. Goldco's precious metals specialists are also not licensed to give financial, legal or tax advice. Consult a licensed professional about your situation.
